The desired surface quality is produced with the industrial polishing and superfinishing processes. This is a fine form of mechanical processing to improve the surface roughness as well as to produce the defined material content. The surface finish can be as high as mirror finish. Dimensional requirements for a component, on the other hand, are implemented by precision grinding. In principle, all processes can also be requested independently of a surface coating.
